A 26 year old Thai-German man turned his condo in Pattaya into a scene of horror after an argument with a neighbour spiralled out of control.

Kitjapat K, known to friends as Eddie, was found drenched in blood with multiple knife wounds, yet remarkably calm, after locking himself in his room on Sunday night, September 1.

Police and rescue workers rushed to the scene after receiving frantic calls from concerned residents. The door to Eddie’s condo was securely locked from the inside, forcing officers to break in with the help of the building’s management. What they discovered was a grim sight: Eddie, sitting amidst splattered blood, a blood-stained kitchen knife nearby.

Despite the severity of his injuries, Eddie, who had recently returned to Pattaya after living in Germany for five months, was conscious and walked out to meet the police without showing signs of extreme distress. Rescue workers immediately provided first aid before rushing him to Pattaya City Hospital for further treatment.

Relatives later disclosed that Eddie had a history of mild mental health issues but had never before resorted to self-harm. The disturbing incident reportedly stemmed from a heated dispute with a foreign neighbour over the noise made by the neighbour’s five year old child. The argument escalated, leaving Eddie distraught and driving him to inflict injuries on himself in a moment of despair, reported Pattaya Mail.
