Gone too soon: Thai teen financial whiz dies after long cancer fight (video)
Young prodigy's life lessons and money tips touched hearts across Thailand

A young financial educator passed away after a long battle with illness, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, wisdom, and inspiration for many.
Teenage prodigy Phasawin “Win” Tantiniti, who became known for his appearances on the hit TV show Manut Tang Wai มนุษย์ต่างวัย (People of Different Ages), passed away today, October 23, after battling cancer for most of his life.
His mother announced the heartbreaking news on his Facebook page, writing:
“My little fighter has departed at 5.18am [today]. I love you with all my heart.”

Win’s story became an inspiration to many after he shared his experiences as a childhood cancer survivor who turned his struggles into financial wisdom.
Diagnosed with lung cancer at just three years old, Win endured years of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. Though he eventually beat cancer by the age of five, the treatment left him with chronic heart problems caused by radiation damage.
Unable to obtain health insurance due to his medical history, Win began studying personal finance to support himself. He created his own emergency fund plan, setting a goal to save 60,000 baht in a year for his ongoing healthcare costs.
“We have a ticking time bomb inside of us. Today, we can’t view health as an expense; we must view time as an asset instead.”

Balancing school and business, Win sold snacks to classmates, earning about 200 baht a week. He also built a following of nearly 60,000 fans on TikTok under the handle @win_phassawin, where he shared financial tips and product reviews aimed at young audiences, according to MGR Online and คมชัดลึก.
His approach to money was methodical and disciplined. Win saved at least 20% of his earnings and invested the rest, mainly in gold. By age 14, he had accumulated two baht and one salung of gold, and aimed to add another baht each year.
Despite his fragile health, Win’s optimism and drive made him a symbol of resilience.
He once said: “We can’t control time, but we can control how we use it.”
Messages of condolence have flooded social media, with fans and followers paying tribute to the boy who taught adults and teenagers alike the true meaning of value — in both money and life.
