Body of foreign man found on Pattaya beach

A foreign man was discovered dead and washed ashore in Pattaya around noon yesterday, sparking a police investigation.

Police arrived at the beach opposite Soi Pattaya 3 Road to find the body of a white man with distinctive tattoos: a flower on his left arm and a bird on his right arm. The man was dressed in black shoes and blue shorts.

There were no signs of physical assault, and no identification documents were found on the body. Authorities estimated that the man had been dead for approximately five hours before being discovered.

Kocharin Chuchum, a Pattaya special task official, reported that a sunbed operator alerted him to the body lying face down on the beach during his patrol. Kocharin then contacted police and rescue workers to respond to the scene, reported Bangkok Post.

Rescue workers will transport the body to Police General Hospital for an autopsy. The police are continuing their efforts to identify the deceased man.

In related news, the Royal Thai Police discovered the body of a Thai man in a pond in Sattahip district, Chon Buri last Wednesday. Sattahip police, along with rescue workers from the Sawang Rojanatham Sathan Foundation, responded to the report around noon, on May 29. At the scene, officials found the deceased lying face down in the water, dressed in a purple polo shirt and black shorts. Police reported no signs of physical assault on the body. The remains were taken to Sattahip Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

In other news, a Bangkok market was thrown into chaos last Tuesday, May 28 after the discovery of a man’s body in a parking lot. The police are investigating suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, including wounds that do not match the position of the body when found. Police officer Thananchai Kanthahatthi from Rat Burana Police Station received a report of a dead man in the parking lot of a market located within Soi Pracha Uthit 33, Intersection 7.
