Police officers at Bang Lamung Police Station faced an unusual situation after arresting a suspect who claimed to be over 100 years old, despite his identification card stating he was 33 and his appearance suggesting he was much younger.

Police Colonel Nawin Sinthurat, Superintendent of Bang Lamung Police Station, directed officers to crack down on illegal activities in the area at around 3am yesterday, September 11. The team, led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Kornpong Sukwisit, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation, was conducting a patrol when they came across a motorcycle without licence plates and with non-functional headlights and taillights.

Upon inspecting the vehicle, officers discovered two methamphetamine pills on Anuwat’s person, also known as Ta Khamloet, from Sakon Nakhon province. The pills were found in a clear plastic bag inside a black cigarette box labelled VOXX. A subsequent urine test confirmed the presence of drugs.

During questioning, Anuwat admitted to using methamphetamine daily and revealed he had not slept for several days. However, the situation took an unexpected turn when he claimed to be over 100 years old, despite his ID card indicating he was 33. This unusual claim baffled the officers, but they continued to record his statement and inform him of the charges, reported Pattaya News.

Anuwat faces multiple charges, including:

1. Possession of Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine) with intent to use without permission.
2. Being a driver under the influence of substances affecting the mind and nervous system.
3. Using Category 1 narcotics (methamphetamine) without permission.

The suspect has been taken into custody for further legal proceedings.
