Heavy rainfall to hit Bangkok and 41 provinces tomorrow

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) forecasts significant rainfall across 42 provinces tomorrow, with Bangkok experiencing the highest impact at 60%. Some areas may also face strong winds and thunderstorms, with temperatures expected to drop on February 18.
The TMD 24-hour weather prediction highlights thunderstorms and gusty winds in the lower northern, northeastern, central regions, including Bangkok and its surrounding areas, as well as the eastern region. These conditions are due to southerly and southeasterly winds bringing moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand.
Residents in upper Thailand are advised to take care of their health amid changing weather conditions and to be cautious of potential dangers from thunderstorms and strong winds. It is recommended to avoid open spaces, large trees, weak structures, and billboards. Farmers are encouraged to prepare for possible agricultural damage.
The TMD has also forecasted accumulated rain for the next 15 days, warning of volatile weather. A moderate northeastern monsoon covering the Gulf of Thailand and the south is causing thunderstorms in the southern region.
Waves in the lower Gulf of Thailand are expected to reach 1 to 2 metres, with the upper Gulf experiencing waves of about 1 metre. In areas with thunderstorms, waves may exceed 2 metres. Mariners in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea should exercise caution and avoid sailing in stormy areas.
Dust accumulation is moderate to high in the upper northern and central regions. The weather forecast for Thailand from 6pm today to 6pm tomorrow indicates differing conditions across various regions.
