The incident occurred today, November 20, at 12.30am, as reported by Pratchaya Bunnat, an investigator at Bang Len Police Station.
The crash site was identified at the Koh Rat curve in front of Wat Ko Rad on Bang Len-Bang Pla Road, Moo 8, Bang Len subdistrict, Bang Len district, Nakhon Pathom province.
Following the alert, Apisak Kamnoet, the Bang Len Police Station superintendent, was informed before proceeding to the scene with a team of investigators, a duty doctor, volunteers from the Suksalanukroh Foundation, and officials from the Bang Len District Provincial Electricity Authority.
Upon arrival, the scene was chaotic with a toppled power pole and a grey, four-door Isuzu D-Max pickup truck submerged in a canal. The vehicle’s registration number was 3 ฒห 2488, Bangkok, and it was severely damaged, trapping two Burmese men inside.
Rescue personnel extracted the bodies from the wreckage. Additionally, five more deceased individuals, all Burmese women, were found in the canal. The bodies were transported to the bank for examination and further legal procedures, said a police spokesperson.
“The initial inquiry revealed that the pickup truck was initially parked on the roadside.”
