Woman accuses soldier boyfriend of assault, sharing explicit videos
A 22 year old woman from Sangkhaom district in Udon Thani province, accused her boyfriend, a soldier, of assaulting her and posting explicit videos on social media without her consent.
The incident reportedly happened on February 3 when her boyfriend took her phone and shared private content on Facebook. The victim, Kade, is now seeking action against him.
Kade, who initially met her boyfriend, Man, on Facebook, described how their relationship began before Songkran in 2024.
She left her job in Bangkok to live with his family in Udon Thani but the relationship turned sour when Man allegedly recorded a video call without her knowledge while she was at his mother’s house. The video was posted following a heated argument.
On February 3, Man reportedly kicked Kade in the stomach and neck before fleeing. Kade is urging his superiors to take action when he returns to the military camp, hoping they will both punish Man and help delete the video. If possible, she wishes for him to be jailed within the military base.
Kade’s mother revealed that Man had previously threatened to detain her daughter and demanded money in exchange for her ID card. She complied, fearing for her daughter’s safety.
Now, Kade’s mother is calling for legal action against Man and removal of the video from social media. She is worried about her daughter’s safety due to his past threats.
Journalists pursued Man at his mother’s home in Chiang Wang village, Phen district, Udon Thani. His stepmother, Lee, confirmed the assault and subsequent escape.
She mentioned that Kade had called her mother for help after an argument with Man, which led to more threats and the seizure of her phone. Lee noted that Man and Kade had not known each other long, and Man had a history of violent behaviour, previously assaulting his father.
Reporters eventually found Man at another location in Phathat village, Phen district. He is a soldier in the 5th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion, denied the accusations, claiming he only retrieved the phone without posting anything or causing harm, reported KhaoSod.
He emphasised that Kade’s phone was locked, preventing any activity. He firmly denied both the assault and sharing the explicit videos.
