A Thai man was granted bail after shooting his father during a confrontation. The incident occurred when the son turned himself into the police. The police plan to question the father about the event.

Police granted bail to 32 year old Pavinyoh after he turned himself in following a shooting incident involving his father, 53 year old Chalao. The altercation took place on yesterday, August 14, and resulted in Chalao sustaining injuries.

Pavinyoh used a 9mm handgun during the confrontation and later surrendered the weapon to the police. After his initial detention, the police decided to release him on bail, citing his voluntary surrender and verifiable residence.

Initial charges related to firearm offences were filed against Pavinyoh. The police plan to interrogate Chalao, who is currently recovering from his injuries, before potentially filing additional charges against both individuals involved in the incident.

Surveillance footage captured the dramatic exchange of gunfire between the father and son. The video showed Pavinyoh’s friends lying flat on the ground to avoid being hit by stray bullets. The CCTV footage displays Pavinyoh drawing his weapon and firing back at his father, reported KhaoSod.

In another angle, the footage shows bystanders rushing to assist Chalao, who was shot in the left leg. They helped him to a nearby hospital for treatment. The police quickly arrived at the scene to conduct their investigation. Meanwhile, Pavinyoh fled the scene by car before later turning himself into the police.

In related news, a father shot and killed his son after an intense altercation outside their home in Chanuman District, Amnat Charoen Province. The son, reportedly under the influence of methamphetamine, had violently assaulted his wife and mother.

Police Lieutenant Sombat Inlert from Chanuman Police Station received the distress call and promptly arrived at the scene, accompanied by forensic officers, medical personnel, and rescue workers.
