Suspect arrested after fatal stabbing of teen in Nonthaburi

An incident involving the fatal stabbing of 17 year old at a petrol station in Bang Bua Thong district, Nonthaburi province has seen new developments. The attack occurred in the early hours of March 26, when the victim, Anuchit, was assaulted by a group of four youths and stabbed five times in the chest.
By March 30, police had apprehended the primary suspect, 21 year old Singha, at a rented room in the Bang Khun Non area of Bangkok. The arrest was carried out by a team led by Police Major General Kittithanet Tananantawisin, the Nonthaburi Provincial Police Commander.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Kittithanet revealed that Singha was found at the residence of his girlfriend’s younger sister. During initial questioning, Singha confessed to the crime, citing a prior altercation at the Sombat Buri market as the catalyst.
The confrontation reportedly stemmed from a perceived hostile glance exchanged between the groups, resulting in Singha and his accomplices following Anuchit on motorcycles, leading to the tragic incident.
However, the police remain sceptical of Singha’s account and intend to conduct further witness interviews. Evidence collected includes clothing worn during the incident, with shoes discovered to have bloodstains, reported KhaoSod.
The knife used in the crime is also being examined. Singha faces charges of intentional murder and carrying a weapon in public without valid reason. Further forensic analysis is underway to solidify the case against him.

In similar news, two teenagers were swiftly arrested within two hours after firing homemade firearms loaded with shotgun shells at a rival in Bangkok’s Lat Krabang area. The incident occurred on March 25 at around 8.30pm, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, alongside senior officers from the Metropolitan Police Bureau, announced the apprehension of 18 year old Asanee Oo and a 16 year old accomplice, identified only as A.
The pair were taken into custody in front of a rented room in the Lat Krabang district. Officers recovered two homemade firearms and a motorcycle from the suspects.
