Teenagers arrested in Bangkok for homemade gun attack

Two teenagers were apprehended within two hours after brandishing homemade guns and firing shotgun shells at a rival in the Lat Krabang area. The incident, which took place on March 25 at approximately 8.30pm, resulted in no injuries.
Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, along with other high-ranking officers from the Metropolitan Police Bureau, disclosed the arrest of 18 year old Asanee Oo and a 16 year old, referred to as A, in front of a rented room in Lat Krabang district, Bangkok. The suspects were found with two homemade firearms and a motorcycle.
Earlier that day, at around 6.12pm, Romklao Police Station received a report of an attack involving a homemade shotgun fired at a juvenile rival outside a clinic on Kheha Romklao Road.
An investigation team proceeded to the scene, reviewed CCTV footage, and identified the suspects using a Yamaha XMAX 300 motorcycle, registered with a number plate 2ขท72XX, Bangkok. The suspects fled to Soi Romklao 25 in Lat Krabang.
Upon locating the suspects at a shop in Soi Romklao 25, officers presented themselves and showed the CCTV footage to Asanee and A. The pair admitted to their involvement.
They revealed the location of the firearms and outfits used during the incident, stored in a rented room in Lat Krabang. A search led to the discovery of a .38 calibre homemade revolver concealed under a pillow, and a homemade shotgun on a shelf.
The suspects also admitted to hiding another homemade shotgun in an unnumbered shop in Soi Romklao 25, found beside a sofa, reported KhaoSod.
The suspects face charges of attempted murder, possession of firearms and ammunition without a permit, and carrying firearms in public without permission. They have been handed over to investigators at Romklao Police Station for further legal proceedings.

In similar news, a group of more than 10 motorcyclists assaulted a 17 year old who had taken shelter inside a convenience store.
