Man critically injured over unpaid debt of tens of thousands baht

A 32 year old man was shot and critically injured after failing to repay a debt of tens of thousands of baht.
The incident occurred at 6am today, February 26, in a house located in the Mueang district of Chon Buri province. Police Lieutenant Chinawat Thisala was notified of the shooting.
Emergency services and rescue units attended the scene and found Patipon, who had sustained gunshot wounds to the abdomen and chest. After initial treatment, he was taken to Chon Buri Hospital for further medical care.
During the investigation, police discovered broken beer bottles and 9mm bullet casings at the scene. A wallet left behind by the gunman provided a crucial lead.
It was identified as belonging to 27 year old tattoo artist Dunlawat from Ban Bueng, who is believed to be the gunman.

Natthapong, a 26 year old friend of the victim, recounted the incident. He stated that Dunlawat and an accomplice drove to the house in a white Honda Civic. Natthapong and Patipon were familiar with Dunlawat.
Upon arrival, Dunlawat demanded repayment of the debt, estimated to be several tens of thousands of baht. An argument erupted, escalating to verbal insults involving family members.
Dunlawat then retrieved a firearm and shot Patipon multiple times. After Patipon fell, Dunlawat fled the scene in his car, reported KhaoSod.
Police intend to conduct a thorough investigation with the injured party and pursue Dunlawat for further questioning to proceed with legal action.
