When you are there, you’ll be able to feed and touch animals, watch a penguin parade, discover nocturnal wildlife and even ride an elephant. If you are bringing your kids along, they will love it! Aside from that, you will have the opportunity to experience and learn about wildlife in a natural environment. Some of the animals you can explore include zebras, rhinos, giraffes, tigers and lions. The best part about this zoo is that you don’t have to walk in the heat because they have a golf cart service that will zip you around the zoo fast and efficiently!

Khao Kheow Open Zoo is open every day from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Entry fee for for adults is only 150 bath and kids pay only 30 baht!

2. Flight of the Gibbon 

Another must-visit place not far from Khao Kheow zoo is Flight of the Gibbon. For those seeking some adventures, this place is highly recommended. Glide into the enchanting rainforest through a 3km thrilling wire zip line that offers mesmerizing views of scenic sky bridges and jungle life from all layers of the jungle canopy. If you’re lucky, you will even come across hornbills, a rare tropical bird species with beautiful yellow down-curved bill. Furthermore, an experienced guide is constantly looking out to ensure your safety while you are gliding through the rainforest. Aside from that, there are a couple of other adventure courses that you can join such as Go Gibbon Jungle Gym. 3. Koh Sichang 

Koh Sichang is a magical little island not far from Bangkok that is yet to be discovered by most international travelers. This little paradise has a laid-back atmosphere but at the same time, very interesting to explore! Snorkling is one of the most fun activities here because the waters are crystal clear and you get to see varieties of gorgeous fish. Along with discovering the wild landscape of the island, you will come across the stunning Chinese Temple located on top of the hill, Big Yellow Buddha and Wat Tham Yai Prik. 4. Koh Larn 

Ko Larn is a small Thai island in the gulf of Thailand, off the coast of Pattaya. Its a popular destination for both foreign and local tourists. You will have the opportunity to enjoy this island to the fullest because of the range of beach activities offered here. It’s recommended to stay at least 2 nights there to get the most out of your stay. Activities you can participate in on this island include parasailing, banana boat ride, ride on a jet ski, swimming, fishing and underwater sea walking. Underwater sea walking is something definitely worth experiencing! You will be taken out by boat to the Sea Walk platform. Over there, you will be provided with a helmet and then you’re submerged about 15 feet into the ocean. From there, you can walk on the ocean floor and you will be amazed to discover different species of marine life. Aside from that, you can also rent a cycle or motorbike and ride around the island. 

There are ferry services available every day from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Ferry fare is only 30 baht per person.

5. Bang Saen Beach 

Bang Saen Beach is a popular beach for Bangkokiens looking for a quick beach break. If you are looking for a nice chill spot, this is the place to come to! You can rent a deck of chairs or even bring your own mat and spread them on the beach to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Across the shore, there are a variety of eateries to choose from, ranging from inexpensive local fare to fine dining. It’s a good spot to catch up with friends or family. You can take a stroll down the beach in the evening to enjoy the cool wind or rest and relax while watching the sunset. Other entertaining activities in Bang Saen include, mini golf or walk around Wang Saen Suk Hell Garden. 

Bang Saen is only about an hour and a half drive from Bangkok. You can even catch a bus from Eastern Terminal Bus Station (Ekkamai).
