Don’t miss out! One Piece’s Grand Line event at Lumpini Park ends March 15

The free One Piece event at Lumpini Park wraps up this weekend with photo spots and themed pedal boats

Bangkok’s favourite jogging, monitor lizard, and nature spot has transformed into the Grand Line. Lumpini Park is currently hosting Into the Grand Line from March 8 to 15, celebrating the new One Piece season on Netflix with a week-long free event that brings the anime series into live action.

The event recreates iconic One Piece locations and characters around the park’s lake area, with photo zones, themed pedal boats, and a giant animatronic Laboon the whale.

What you will find at the park

LUFFY WEFIE – Wide-angle selfie spot with Captain Luffy frozen mid-punch in his signature Gum-Gum pose. Stand beside him, and you’ll look like you’re fighting alongside the Straw Hat crew.

CHOPPER MEETING POINT – The adorable reindeer doctor Chopper is hidden somewhere in the event area. Keep your eyes open.

NAKAMA’S YARD – Free One Piece mat rentals (one hour per person) for picnicking by the water. Register with your ID card to borrow one.

Pedal boats

Photo zones at Lumpini Park are open daily from 7am to 10pm for One Piece fans.

Choose from three themed vessels and pedal out onto the lake to encounter Laboon, the massive whale from the series. The animatronic whale blinks and moves like it’s alive.

Three boat options:

  • Going Merry: The Straw Hats’ beloved first ship
  • Baroque Works: The villain organisation’s vessel
  • Marine Warship: Join the Navy and hunt down pirates

Pedal boat sessions run from 7am to 1pm and 2pm to 6.30pm daily. You can expect queues, especially for the Going Merry.

Photo zones open at 7am and stay lit until 10pm. Pedal boats close at 6.30pm, so plan accordingly if that’s your priority.

Everything is free with no tickets, no reservations, and no entrance fees, and the event runs for eight days only, ending March 15 of this weekend.

Lumpini Park is accessible via MRT (Lumpini or Si Lom stations), by taxi or by Grab. The event area should be near the existing pedal boat rental zone, so you can either follow the crowds or look for the giant whale.

Whether you’re a longtime One Piece fan anticipating the Netflix season 2 release or just want unusual photos in central Bangkok, this is a rare chance to step into an anime world without leaving the city.
