ICONCRAFT presents Pottery Craft – The Art of Ceramics
Showcasing the charm of contemporary Thai craftsmanship

ICONCRAFT, an inspiring space and a hub for creative crafts by Thai artisans, proudly presents Pottery Craft – The Art of Ceramics campaign. The event brings the latest collections from six of Thailand’s top ceramic brands, inviting pottery and ceramic enthusiasts to experience the beauty of Thai craftsmanship.
Each creation reflects artistry, creativity, and modern aesthetics. The exhibition is open for visitors to shop at ICONCRAFT, 4th Floor, ICONSIAM, until March 15.
Usara Yongpiyakul, Chief Executive Officer of Siam Piwat Retail Holding Co., Ltd., shared that the ongoing event is dedicated to local artists, showcasing their work on a global scale.
“ICONCRAFT is dedicated to elevating local heroes to global heroes. We actively support contemporary Thai craftsmanship by integrating traditional artisanal knowledge with innovation, creating new and intriguing artistic expressions.
“Through various initiatives, including artisan development projects, dedicated exhibition spaces, and event collaborations, our goal is to introduce Thai craftsmanship to the world. Pottery Craft – The Art of Ceramics is one such campaign that highlights Thai ceramic artisans as local heroes.
“The participating brands are distinguished by their unique identities, creativity, and ability to infuse modern elements into traditional Thai crafts. Their work stands out in terms of design, functionality, and production techniques, making them worthy of broader recognition in the market and among global audiences.”
The campaign features six distinguished Thai ceramic brands, each showcasing a collection filled with distinctive character and contemporary interpretations of Thai identity. Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn about the processes behind each creation, gaining deeper insight into the craftsmanship involved.
One of the featured brands is Another Cup by Wittawat Piyachaiwut, known for its signature blue-and-white porcelain. The brand employs a meticulous hand-carving technique on each piece, creating textured patterns that interact with light and shadow, adding depth and character.

Another highlight is GUI.DEKK by Korawit Kanjanakuha, an independent illustrator and ceramic sculptor who transitioned from digital art to ceramic sculptures. His work is characterised by abstract Thai motifs and layered glazing techniques.
The brand’s featured Heavy Jack Collection introduces the mythical hybrid creature, inspired by Thai literature. The project began in 2022, with each ceramic sculpture handcrafted and undergoing a year-long glaze experimentation process. Only 100 pieces of Heavy Jack exist, with 40 available exclusively at this event. Each sculpture is a one-of-a-kind collectible.

Lamunlamai Craftstudio, founded by Nopkamon Akarapongpaisan and Nol Netprom, renowned for its handcrafted tableware and home décor ceramics, is also present. With over a decade of experience, the brand emphasises emotional connection, natural mineral glazes, and intricate surface textures that enhance each collection’s aesthetic.
The Petals and Flora Collection 2024 draws inspiration from natural floral patterns and colours, reflected in plates, bowls, and home décor items. Each piece is carefully sculpted to convey both the delicacy and resilience of nature.

Lively Ware by artists Kitt Kullayanapong and Napapach Setthawong introduce a fresh approach to their signature timeless blue-and-white designs by incorporating vibrant colours, reinterpreted with modern aesthetics.
This collection emphasises Thai cultural narratives through ceramic storytelling, with standout pieces including a rotating spirit jar speaker featuring a ghostly krasue and a painted Ganesha figure, marking the brand’s first venture into colourful ceramics.

Mori Mori Studio, known for their Colours of Faith collection by Orachat Suharai is also present, showcasing the innovative Rolling Slip technique to create patterns instead of painting.
The collection reflects the architectural hues of Thai temples from various regions. The northern region is represented by Chiang Rai’s White Temple with shades of white, blue, and grey, and Wat Pho in Bangkok embodies the central region with soft pastel greens, while the Isaan region features deep blue and yellow tones, inspired by the murals of Wat Phra That Phra Sith in Nakhon Phanom.
The southern region incorporates saffron and earthy hues, reminiscent of Buddhist monk robes and the region’s mountainous landscapes.

Lastly, T_HANDCRAFTT by Panuwat Boontanawong presents ceramics with unique handles, ensuring no two pieces are alike.
The latest collection, The Spirit of Thai Roosters, draws inspiration from the traditional Thai rooster, symbolising luck and prosperity.
The collection integrates folk art with the brand’s distinctive contemporary aesthetic, resulting in handcrafted ceramic pieces filled with character and charm.

As part of this campaign, ONESIAM members and international customers who spend at least 3,500 baht per receipt at ICONCRAFT, will receive a complimentary cup from the ChiangMai Celadon brand, valued at 490 baht, from March 5 to March 31, 2025.
