A 10 year old girl went missing for 10 hours after delivering food to her mother in a rubber plantation in Trat province. Discovered under a tree and barely conscious, she was found by rescue teams and is now in a stable condition.

Yesterday, March 5, at 4.30pm, the Sawang Boonchuay Luea Rescue Association in Trat province received a request to help locate the missing child from a Cambodian family residing in the Suan Jin Di area, Mueang district, Trat province.

Officers at Khao Saming Police Station gathered preliminary information from 31 year old Ninn, the father of the missing girl, Lieab. He explained that on that morning, he, his wife, and their daughter left home to work in the orchard as usual.

His wife went to work in another section of the plantation, and he instructed their daughter to deliver food to her mother at about 8am. At 8.19am, his wife messaged that their daughter was returning, but more than 30 minutes elapsed without her arrival.

Both parents, along with relatives, halted their work to search for Lieab but failed to locate her and subsequently sought assistance.

The joint efforts of police, rescue workers, and locals led to a search that lasted over four hours. Lieab was eventually found unconscious and exhausted under a rubber tree, breathing heavily.

Emergency services provided immediate assistance before she was transported to Khao Saming Hospital. Her condition has since stabilised, reported KhaoSod.

The police suspect that Lieab likely got lost in the forest rather than encountering ill-intentioned people, as the family had only been in the area for three months. The incident occurred in a vast forest spanning hundreds of rai.

Last year, a missing six year old boy was found in an unusual and perplexing manner, recalling a supernatural encounter similar to one his mother experienced as a child.

The incident took place on September 24 last year, when the boy, was discovered unharmed inside a fertiliser bag near a neighbour’s barn, just 30 metres from his grandmother’s home.
