A woman in Pattaya reported the theft of her motorcycle after forgetting to lock the handlebars, claiming she had to gather evidence herself due to alleged police inaction.

The woman, 34 year old Natthichaya, shared her ordeal with local reporters at 11.30am yesterday, September 25, stating that her blue Honda Wave i motorcycle was stolen from outside her rental room in the Nong Prue subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, Chon Buri province.

Natthichaya recounted that she parked her motorcycle without securing the handlebars before heading to her room. Shortly after, two thieves, estimated to be between 20 and 25 years old, seized the opportunity and made off with her vehicle.

Upon discovering her motorcycle missing, she promptly reported the incident to the Nong Prue Police Station. However, she alleged that the police advised her to accept the loss and take no further action.

Despite five days since the report, Natthichaya claimed that no officers had visited the scene or reviewed any CCTV footage. Frustrated by the lack of progress, she took it upon herself to search for her bike and brought the matter to the media, hoping to find leads.

Natthichaya acknowledged her mistake of not locking the handlebars and expressed her intent to submit the CCTV footage to the police as evidence. She urged the police to expedite the recovery of her motorcycle and apprehend the suspects to prevent them from targeting others, reported Pattaya News.

“I hope the police will take swift action and help recover my motorcycle before anyone else falls victim to these thieves.”
