This initiative is part of the Na Jomtien Municipality’s annual project to support the local community, funded under the 2024 fiscal year budget.

The atmosphere during the event was warm and welcoming, with residents expressing their gratitude for the municipality’s continuous efforts to provide relief and support to alleviate their hardships.

“We are truly grateful for the support. These relief bags make a big difference for our families.”

Such efforts by the municipality aim to ensure that every member of the community feels supported, especially during challenging times, reported Pattaya News.

In related news, to ease the burden on flood-ravaged communities, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra announced that electricity bills for this month will be waived for those living in the northern and northeastern regions of Thailand.

In October, residents can expect a further financial break, with a 30% reduction in their electricity bills as part of a broader relief package proposed by the Interior Ministry.

In other news, Singha Park Chiang Rai set up a central kitchen to aid flood victims by providing drinking water, cooked food, and ready-to-eat meals in response to the severe flooding in various areas of Chiang Rai.

The flooding has particularly affected the Mueang district, where the Kok River has overflowed, submerging homes and causing widespread damage. In the Mae Sai district, although water levels have receded, many residents remain unable to return to their homes and are staying in temporary shelters.
