Danish tourist stabbed in Pattaya, refuses hospital treatment

A 22 year old Danish national sustained multiple stab wounds in Pattaya on the night of February 28.
The incident, which occurred at 10.36pm on Chalerm Phrakiet Road in Nongprue, Bang Lamung, remains shrouded in mystery as the victim refused to provide details, press charges, or seek hospital treatment.
Emergency responders discovered the injured man, identified only as Daniel, with significant bleeding from his right arm and head.
Despite the severity of his injuries and being visibly shaken, he declined medical assistance beyond initial treatment at the scene.

A 22 year old local, Sai, reported seeing the tourist before contacting emergency services, though she was unaware of the circumstances leading to his injuries. Pattaya City Police arrived at the location and have begun reviewing CCTV footage to piece together the events.
However, Thai law may limit the investigation’s progress without the victim’s cooperation or a formal complaint, reported The Pattaya News.
After receiving medical attention on-site and speaking with the police, Daniel opted to leave without further medical intervention.
In similar news, a Russian tourist was injured in a stabbing incident that occurred at a convenience store on Jomtien Second Road in Pattaya.
The Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Centre received the emergency call at 2am on January 4, detailing the injuries sustained by 39 year old Denis Rumiantsev, who suffered a knife wound to his left leg.
The bleeding was severe, prompting immediate medical attention from rescue workers before he was transported to the hospital.
Witnesses, including convenience store employees, reported that Rumiantsev entered the store seeking wound care supplies. However, his condition was critical enough that the store staff decided to call for help. Good Samaritans present at the scene assisted until emergency services arrived.
Police communicated with the victim through a translation app. It was revealed that Rumiantsev, who appeared to be intoxicated, had engaged in what he believed to be a playful interaction with another group.
