An 18-wheel lorry, with registration numbers 63-7850 and 63-8376 from Bangkok, had run over the body of the deceased, identified as Arisa Chaisisa, originally from Si Sa Ket province. Nearby lay her Honda Wave125 motorbike, registered under 3KorBor 273, in a toppled position.

According to an eyewitness to the road accident, identified as a resident, Pohn (name changed for privacy), he was driving his car behind the 18-wheel lorry after finishing work. He was heading towards the mouth of Soi Bang Pla 2.

As he reached the scene of the road accident, he noticed the victim’s motorcycle overtaking from the left where a dog was lying on the road. The motorcycle hit the dog, lost balance and crashed into the side of the lorry that was running parallel. This caused the motorcycle to flip over, and the rider was flung underneath the lorry and was fatally crushed.

The 41 year old driver of the lorry, Piyat Nong Khai, originally from Roi Et Province, stated that he was transporting goods from inside the alley to Pu Chao Saming Phrai Road. Unaware of the accident, he continued driving until a passerby signalled him to stop. It was only then he discovered that he had run over someone, reported KhaoSod.

Initially, the police took the lorry driver for questioning and began to review CCTV footage in the vicinity to ascertain the actual cause of the accident. Further actions will be taken based on the findings.
