Local authorities from Pho Klang Police Station and Huak 31 Rescue Unit were called in by officials from the Training and Youth Centre, Zone 3, Nakhon Ratchasima. They reported violent behaviour amongst a group of male youths within the detention area of the centre, fearing the situation could escalate.

The violence was sparked off by two groups of male youths who were detained within the confinement quarters. They initiated a fight, using sharp metal objects as weapons, resulting in four injuries.

The situation worsened when one of the ringleaders was isolated by officials after the rescue of the injured juveniles who were sent to Teppharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital. This action incited dissatisfaction among the gang members who initiated unrest to demand the release of their leader.

The situation turned chaotic with several dozen male juveniles involved. It was risky for the authorities to intervene due to the potential danger, so they maintained control around the perimeter to prevent the situation from escalating.
