At the scene, Sedthawut was found lying on the expressway with a severe head wound, a painful right shoulder, and a left leg injury. His yellow traffic inspection motorcycle was found damaged and toppled over nearby.

Rescue workers provided initial medical assistance before transporting him to Chulabhorn Hospital in Pak Kret. The car involved, a white Honda Jazz, had a damaged front left side. The driver, a 27 year old woman, was in a state of shock.

Investigations revealed that while Sedthawut was riding his motorcycle to inspect traffic, the Honda Jazz, which was following behind, suddenly crashed into the rear of his motorcycle. The impact caused Sedthawut to be thrown from his bike, causing his head to hit the road and inflicting a long gash. He also experienced pain in his arms and legs.

Doctors initially treated Sedthawut’s head wound with stitches and admitted him to the hospital for observation. If the medical evaluation confirms that his head injury is not severe, he will be allowed to go home for further recovery.

The woman driving the Honda Jazz will likely face charges pending the outcome of the investigation. The police will continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine the exact cause and ensure that justice is served, reported KhaoSod.
