The welfare card benefits for October began on Tuesday, October 1. The benefits include a 300 baht monthly allowance for purchasing goods, effective from October 1 for those who confirmed their identity between August 27 and September 26. However, there will be no retrospective benefits for this period.

Additionally, recipients will receive an 80 baht discount on cooking gas purchases every three months from October to December. Furthermore, a transportation allowance of 750 baht per person per month will be provided for use on public transportation systems such as buses, trains, and private buses participating in the programme. It should be noted that these allowances cannot be withdrawn as cash and will not carry over to the following month.

On October 18, an additional 200 baht per month will be disbursed to individuals with disabilities who are entitled to the disability allowance. This is in addition to the existing 800 baht monthly disability allowance. To qualify for this, recipients must have confirmed their identity between August 27 and September 26. Again, no retrospective benefits will be provided for this period.

“The money will be transferred to the bank accounts linked to the 13-digit national ID number of the eligible individuals or their bank accounts or those of their authorised representatives who receive the 800 baht disability allowance.”
