A village health volunteer from Yasothon has struck it rich by winning the first prize in the lottery, netting a total of 6 million baht. The lucky numbers were chosen from a ticket she had reserved but not yet paid for.

Rungaradee Sriwisat, a 53 year old resident of Ban Hua Kham, Moo 4, Samran subdistrict, Mueang Yasothon district, revealed her excitement after winning the lottery. She usually buys lottery tickets regularly but has taken a break recently due to never winning.

This time, her daughter, who works as a teacher’s assistant, brought her a ticket to choose from, and she decided to go for it because it was the only one left. The ticket, numbered 367336, for the draw yesterday, July 16, featured her favourite number, 36.

“I chose the ticket because it had the number 36, which I like. I hadn’t paid for it yet, but I had reserved it with the seller. When the numbers were drawn, the seller called to tell me I had won the first prize. I was ecstatic because I never dreamed I would win.”

Known for her cheerful and generous nature, she is well-loved by her friends and community. She lives with her father and grandfather and has one daughter, reported KhaoSod.
