Sukhothai launches durian festival with Monthong at just 1 baht

Sukhothai has kicked off an exciting durian festival, offering special promotions with 200 queues per day for the coveted Monthong durian at just 1 baht per fruit. Customers are flocking to take advantage of the deals and carry home the prized fruit.

Today, September 19, in front of the Big C department store in Ban Kluai, Mueang district, Sukhothai province, a special festival featuring Monthong durians sold at affordable prices ranging from 99 to 129 baht per kilogramme is drawing huge crowds.

The event, organised by the renowned Jae Da, the Fruit Racing Queen, includes a special promotion where customers can purchase a Monthong durian for only 1 baht. This promotion has created quite a buzz, attracting numerous buyers eager to take home the aromatic fruit.

Jae Da, known for her fruit-selling prowess on TikTok, remarked that this is her first time bringing the event to Sukhothai. She emphasised the need to make a grand impression befitting her reputation as the true durian queen.

Customers who spend between 400 and 500 baht or more can receive a queue card to buy a Monthong durian for 1 baht during the 5pm slot, limited to 200 queues each day.

“It’s my first time in Sukhothai, so I had to go big. We want to live up to our name and reputation, offering the best deals and drawing in as many customers as possible.”

The festival allows customers to purchase Monthong durians throughout the day until 8pm in front of the Big C Sukhothai branch. The organisers guarantee that their prices are 100% cheaper than elsewhere.

Additionally, if the durian flesh is found to be problematic, such as worm-infested or being too soft or too white, customers can return the fruit for a replacement.

The enticing offers have led to a significant turnout, with many buyers eagerly queuing to get their hands on the discounted durians. The event’s popularity is evident as people rush to secure the special deals and enjoy the premium quality of the Monthong durians at unbeatable prices, reported KhaoSod.
