When rescue teams arrived, they found the aftermath of the collision: a black Honda Civic with a crumpled front end and a red Honda Scoopy-i motorcycle sprawled nearby. The motorcyclist, 48 year old Lampai lay in agony on the road, her injuries severe.

The most shocking was a deep laceration to her left ankle, nearly severing it, along with multiple abrasions across her head and body. Rescue personnel promptly administered first aid before transporting her to a nearby hospital for urgent care.

The driver of the Honda Civic, 40 year old Kritima, reported that she was on her way home after refuelling.

“I slowed down as I entered the railroad-side road. When suddenly the motorcyclist appeared, speeding towards me and looking down—possibly at a phone or something else.”

The collision was swift and brutal.
