A giant monitor lizard shocked locals when it entered a residential property in Chon Buri province, requiring a team of local rescue officers to remove it. The reptile hid behind a water basin, where it resisted capture. This forced authorities to use some special equipment and it took three to four officers to safely restrain the animal.

Yesterday, the Nong Tam Lueng municipality’s disaster relief office received a report at 5pm, requesting assistance for the removal of a large monitor lizard from a home at 48/3 Moo 9, Nong Tam Lueng, Panthong District, Chon Buri province. Arriving at the scene, the officers found the large reptile hiding behind a water basin in front of the house. It made threatening noises at anyone attempting to capture it. Despite the use of specialised equipment, the lizard continued to resist capture. As a result, a team of three to four officers to successfully restrain it, reported KhaoSod.

When the homeowner saw the size of the reptile that had entered their property from a nearby house, it shocked them. It was much bigger than any other reptile they had seen before. Concerned about their safety and the safety of the lizard, the homeowner called a professional rescue team right away. They took care of the situation carefully, making sure they safely removed and returned the lizard to its natural habitat.

Last week, a homeowner in Surin province revealed that she had been driven to spend sleepless nights away from her own home due to the ghostly presence of a dead tokay gecko. Jitapha Pothisa, the distressed owner, claims to frequently hear the eerie calls of the phantom lizard but has never actually seen it. The unsettling experience has compelled the 32 year old mother of one to seek refuge elsewhere, away from the haunted property where the incident occurred.

The unsettling ordeal began on Monday, May 29, when someone hired by Jitapha inadvertently killed the tokay gecko. Since that fateful day, she claims to have been haunted by the ghostly calls of the reptile during the night, leaving her no choice but to reside at her grandmother’s home temporarily.
