Northeast Thailand: Fatal motorbike accident at Amata City Chon Buri Industrial Estate claims life
A fatal motorbike accident claimed the life of a 25 year old resident from Don Mod Dang, Ubon Ratchathani. The incident occurred at approximately 10.30pm yesterday, November 17, within the Amata City Chon Buri Industrial Estate located in Don Hua Lo, Mueang District.
Ratphol Ratchawakarn, the Deputy Inquiry Official of Don Hua Lo Police Station in Chon Buri, received a distress call about a fatal motorbike accident within the industrial estate. Upon arrival at the scene, they found the lifeless body of Wutthipong Taweeboon lying near a toppled white Honda Click motorcycle, bearing the license number 1KY 5398 Chon Buri.
A woman, who wished to remain anonymous, shared that Wutthipong was her boyfriend. She raised the alarm when he failed to return home after work. A distressing phone call from the rescue service personnel informed her of the fatal motorbike accident, prompting her to rush to the scene, reported KhaoSod.
Manas Chueapetch, a volunteer from the Trai Khunnatham Foundation, revealed that upon their arrival on the scene, they found Wutthipong had suffered severe injuries from hitting the steel barrier. The dark, winding road within the industrial estate was cited as a potential contributor to the motorbike accident. Manas appeals to the relevant authorities to increase lighting in the area, given the extreme darkness.
As part of the initial investigation, police officers plan to examine CCTV footage to determine the cause of the accident and to guide further action.
