Missing six year old found unharmed after 34-hour disappearance
A missing six year old boy was found in an unusual and perplexing manner, recalling a supernatural encounter similar to one his mother experienced as a child. This incident took place yesterday, September 24, when the boy, was discovered unharmed inside a fertiliser bag near a neighbour’s barn, just 30 metres from his grandmother’s home.
M Roi disappeared at 8pm on September 22. His family, alongside locals and rescue teams, searched tirelessly without success. The boy’s sudden reappearance at 6am today, 34 hours later, with no injuries or even mosquito bites, left everyone astonished.
The truly eerie aspect of this incident is M Roi’s account of his disappearance, which sounds like something out of a folktale. He described being lured away at dusk by an old woman with a triangular face, long hair, and long nails, who introduced herself as Saengchan.
M Roi recounted that Saengchan gave him about 30 guavas to eat, although he never felt hungry and had no sense of how much time had passed. Eventually, she told him to go back, and he walked out of the fertiliser bag.
In a twist that deepens the mystery, villagers celebrated M Roi’s safe return by performing a traditional dance around a mango tree near where he had vanished. This act was seen as a way to give thanks and ensure the boy’s continued safety.
M Roi’s stepmother, 32 year old Kwan Chomkring, revealed that her son’s story mirrored her childhood experiences. She vividly remembered a similar encounter with an old woman wearing a blue shirt, a traditional Thai skirt, flip-flops, and a white shawl.
Kwan confessed that she had dreamt of this woman repeatedly and even saw her in real life. In her dreams, the old woman would invite her to play, and Kwan often saw visions of an old house and an ancient-style fence near their home.
When she asked her parents about these visions, they confirmed the location’s existence. Kwan shared that the old woman had claimed to have lived there for over a thousand years, reported KhaoSod.
The family suspects that the boy’s disappearance might have been caused by something his father, who works in another province, did to offend Saengchan. This belief was strengthened when M Roi was found shortly after his father returned home, having been informed about his son’s disappearance only an hour prior.
