Bangkok bust: 191 unit raids luxury home, nabs drug dealer

The 191 police unit conducted a raid on a luxurious residence in the Wang Thonglang district of Bangkok, arresting a man involved in drug possession.

The operation, which took place yesterday, March 18 at 10.30am, resulted in the seizure of substantial evidence, including 313 ketamine vape pods, 80 bags of ketamine, 53 ecstasy pills, and 38 disposable e-cigarettes.

The operation was led by Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, the Metropolitan Police Bureau commissioner, alongside Police Major General Nopasilp Poonsawat, the deputy commissioner, and Police Major General Pallop Aeramla.

They were assisted by Police Major General Worawit Yanchinda, commander of the Patrol and Special Operation Division, Police Colonel Wasan Thawatchaiwirut, superintendent of the patrol unit, Police Lieutenant General colonel Paiboon Sosoh, deputy superintendent, and Police Captain Nattadnai Bamrungsi, inspector of the second patrol unit.

Patrol officers from the second patrol unit collaborated with the Special Operations Division to apprehend 35 year old Pawarit at his residence. During the search, they discovered 313 ketamine vape pods (e-cigarette liquids mixed with etomidate), four packs of Happy Water, 80 bags of ketamine, 53 ecstasy pills, and 38 disposable e-cigarettes.

The investigation team, acting on intelligence, searched a house within a luxurious village in Wang Thonglang, Bangkok. Pawarit identified himself as the homeowner during the search, reported KhaoSod.

The officers found the aforementioned items, including the ketamine vape pods and Happy Water packs. Initially, Pawarit was detained, and a record of the arrest was made. He, along with the seized items, was then handed over to investigators for legal proceedings.

In similar news, three young people were arrested in Bangkok’s Thon Buri district for running an illegal business selling contraband cigarettes and kratom juice laced with cough syrup, generating nearly 10,000 baht in daily revenue.

Under the direction of Police Major General Thathapoom Charupradit, head of the Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECS), officers, including Police Colonel Naruepol Karuna and Police Lieutenant Colonel Wannalap Rattanawong, executed a raid on March 18 with a warrant issued by the Thon Buri Criminal Court.
