Ferrari and Mercedes destroyed in fiery Bangkok crash
A collision involving three vehicles led to a fire that destroyed a Ferrari and a Mercedes-Benz, leaving only the charred remains, and resulted in one person being injured.
Emergency services responded promptly to the incident, which occurred at 2.20am today, April 23, near Soi Borommaratchachonnani 76, Borommaratchachonnani Road, Sala Thammasop subdistrict, Thawi Watthana district, Bangkok.
The scene involved a three-car collision that resulted in a fire. Firefighters from Thawi Watthana Fire and Rescue Station, along with volunteers from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, were able to extinguish the fire within approximately 20 minutes.
Two vehicles were severely damaged: a white Ferrari supercar and a black Mercedes-Benz, both of which were petrol-powered. The exact registration numbers of these vehicles remain unknown.
Nearby, a grey Toyota pickup truck was found overturned on its side in the middle of the road, with signs of collision damage, reported KhaoSod.
Initial investigations are underway, with police reviewing CCTV footage to gather further evidence. The fire originated from the accident, resulting in one person sustaining injuries. The injured person, with wounds on their body, was taken to Ratchaphiphat Hospital for treatment.
In similar news, a fatal accident took place on the Chalerm Maha Nakhon Expressway in Bangkok’s Klong Toei district when a car slammed into the back of a stationary six-wheel truck. The female driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, while a male passenger sitting in the front seat sustained serious injuries.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Phakamart Kamonsan from Expressway Police Station 1, along with rescue and emergency teams, arrived at the scene on April 6. They found a white Isuzu six-wheel truck equipped with a crane, bearing registration number 54-3028 Bangkok, parked in the far-right lane.
The truck had visible damage to its rear left side. Nearby, a grey Chevrolet with registration number 3กฒ 7757 Bangkok was discovered with severe front-end damage, a shattered windshield, and a ripped-open roof.
