A 33 year old woman in Chon Buri reported being sexually assaulted by a male masseur at a renowned health massage parlour in Bangkok’s Bang Kapi district. Upon her complaint, the establishment promptly terminated the employee involved.

Yesterday, March 2, a TikTok user posted a warning video after visiting a well-rated massage parlour in Bang Kapi, Bangkok, where she was allegedly assaulted by a male masseur. The woman, referred to as A, shared her experience with journalists at her residence in Samet subdistrict, Mueang district, Chon Buri.

She explained that she had been in Bangkok to set up a sales booth and felt exhausted, prompting her to search for a reputable health massage place.

Upon finding a highly reviewed massage parlour, she booked a session which included one hour of foot massage and one hour of body massage. A recounted that the available masseur was male but she did not think much of it, as she was there for health reasons.

During the session, the masseur unhooked her bra, justifying it as part of the massage process. Initially unconcerned, she was startled when the masseur began massaging her buttocks and inappropriately touched her genital area.

Shocked, A immediately stopped the session, paid for the service, and left the parlour. She then contacted her boyfriend to inform him of the incident.

Her boyfriend accompanied her to file a police report against the masseur. Subsequently, the parlour owner reached out, confirming the masseur’s dismissal and assured A that she could pursue legal action, reported KhaoSod.

A advised women seeking massage services, especially for relaxation purposes, to consider choosing a regular parlour or female masseurs. She emphasised avoiding unfamiliar male masseurs to prevent similar incidents.

Last year, police arrested a Thai man in the southern province of Songkhla for attempting to rape a masseuse before changing his mind and stealing her mobile phone instead because she was on her period.
