Bangkok delivery rider knifes security guard over order row

A delivery rider last night stabbed a university security guard to death in a frenzied attack in the Phatthanakan 37 area of Bangkok, all because of a cancelled food order.
In the late-night hours of yesterday, February 20, reports began circulating about a brutal knife attack at a university.
The notorious Facebook page Want to be famous, I’ll arrange it, Return Part 6 was among the first to break the news, revealing the tragic fate of 49 year old Piangjai Khiao Nil, a dedicated security guard.
Despite the heroic efforts of Por Tek Tung Foundation volunteers, who performed CPR on the spot, Piangjai could not be saved.
Eyewitnesses recounted the harrowing scene: a rider arrived at Soi Phatthanakan 37 on his motorcycle, demanding to know if anyone had ordered food.
Informed by Piangjai that no such order was in sight, a heated argument ensued. In a fit of unwarranted rage, the rider pulled out a knife and stabbed the unsuspecting guard in the stomach, reported Matchicon.

Despite his injuries, Piangjai attempted to seek help from his colleagues but collapsed before reaching assistance. By the time rescue workers arrived, it was too late.
At the scene, a distraught cleaning lady tried to wash away the bloodstains that marked the spot of this violent encounter.
A (pseudonym), a coworker of the dead man, expressed disbelief at the tragedy, having known Piangjai as a calm man.
“I arrived on my bike and found him lying in a pool of blood, unconscious. I’ve never been so scared. We’ve had food deliveries here often, but nothing like this has happened before.”
Piangjai’s wife shared her heartbreak, explaining that though her husband had a quick temper, he was not one to start fights.
“I was at home, and I missed his call because I was asleep. I think he was trying to ask for help. Now, I’m left with no one.

Later, Khlong Tan police unveiled the culprit’s identity as 36 year old Akkhawit Rattanachokchai. In a swift operation led by Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom and Pol. Maj. Gen. Noppasin Poolsawat, alongside a comprehensive team of officers, they tracked the suspect to an unnumbered house in Soi Huamark 29, Bangkapi district.
Acting on timely intelligence, the officers cornered Akkhawit, who confessed upon arrest. He was discovered with incriminating evidence: a blue and white Honda Click motorbike, a red helmet, the knife used in the attack, and his all-black ensemble from the night of the crime.
The tragic sequence of events unfolded after a report came through the Khlong Tan radio about a fight and injuries at the university.
As police pieced together the narrative, it became evident that a minor disagreement over a cancelled order spiralled into a deadly confrontation, underscoring the fragility of human temper and the dire consequences of violence.
