Bangkok builder rapes teenage worker, threats to kill her

A lecherous Bangkok builder has been arrested for raping a 14 year old employee at a construction site, threatening to kill her unless she kept his vile deed a secret. He later confessed to the rape because he was drunk and horny.
Police swooped to apprehend the 52 year old suspect, Arong (surname withheld) today, April 4, after a warrant was issued by the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Court.
The charge against him was deeply disturbing: “Raping a child under the age of 15 who is not his wife, regardless of consent.”
The horrific incident unfolded in a locality in Si Kan, Don Mueang district, Bangkok, leaving the community in utter disbelief. The victim, referred to as A to protect her identity, endured this nightmare on May 18, 2024.
As the workday drew to a close and colleagues departed, fate cruelly left her alone with Arong. In a despicable act of betrayal, he followed her into a bathroom, assaulted her, and issued a chilling threat of death if she dared speak out.
Her return home was marked by silence and withdrawal, prompting her guardians to suspect something was amiss. It was only after considerable coaxing that her heartbreaking ordeal came to light. Determined to seek justice, her family immediately reported the crime.

Unfazed by decency, Arong attempted to evade responsibility with an outrageous proposal, to “take care of her” as another wife, a proposition that was swiftly and firmly rejected. Undeterred, the Crime Suppression Division launched an investigation, tracking him to a village in Don Mueang, where he continued working as a contractor.
On arrest, Arong confessed, attributing his repugnant conduct to drunkeness.
“I was drunk and horny.”
But the day of reckoning didn’t end there. As police executed the arrest, they noticed suspicious behaviour from Jakkarin, Arong’s son. A swift background check revealed he, too, was a wanted man, sought by police for drug offences. His arrest added an additional layer to this family saga of disgrace.
Both father and son now find themselves facing the full force of the law. Arong has been taken to Nakhon Pathom City Police Station to undergo legal proceedings. He faces imprisonment of four to 20 years and fined of 8,000 to 40,000 baht.
His capture offers some solace, yet the scars his actions have left on the young victim and her family will require much healing.
