Etihad Airways doubles flights to Bangkok
Etihad Airways is doubling its flights from Abu Dhabi to Bangkok this year.
The United Arab Emirates flag carrier will fly twice a day, making 14 nonstop flights between Abu Dhabi International Airport, and Suvarnabhumi Airport, starting Sunday, March 26.
Business and Economy Class cabins will be available to passengers.
Etihad Airways Chief Revenue Officer Arik De said he is delighted to announce the news.
“With our convenient morning departure from Abu Dhabi, our second Bangkok flight has optimised timings for those UAE residents wishing to have a break in Thailand.
“Moreover, the return departure from Bangkok allows for those Thai residents to arrive in Abu Dhabi in the morning to have a head-start in exploring what the city has to offer in terms of business and pleasure. It further reaffirms our commitment to bringing more guests to enjoy Abu Dhabi.”
The news follows hot on the heels of Shanghai-based Spring Airlines announcing that flights would be resuming this month between Shanghai and Phuket, and Guangzhou and Chiang Mai.
The budget airline also revealed that flights from Shanghai to Hong Kong, and Taipei, will also be relaunched in January while the resumption of flights between the metropolis and Singapore is being considered.
Another Shangai-based airline, Juneyao Air, announced late last month that it will resume its flights between Shanghai and Chiang Mai on Wednesday, January 18, adding more flights to other outbound destinations likely to resume.
AirlineRatings has just released their list of the Top 20 Safest Airlines for 2023, with Etihad Airways coming in third place. This makes Etihad the highest-ranked airline in the Middle East on the list.
