The driver, 33 year old Wisut, was waiting for the police with injuries to his left arm. Rescue personnel administered first aid, but due to ongoing bleeding, he was transported to a hospital for further treatment.

The deceased was later identified as 24 year old Sahasawat, who was the nephew of the Chief Executive of the Ko Samrong Subdistrict Administrative Organisation in Kanchanaburi. Preliminary investigations revealed that the pickup truck was travelling from Nong Khrum Junction, heading towards Nong Kwang Junction to deliver fresh shrimp to a customer.

Meanwhile, the deceased’s big bike was heading in the opposite direction, from Nong Kwang Junction towards Nong Khrum Junction, as he was returning home to Kanchanaburi.
