Seven transgender women have been apprehended in Yasothon for their alleged involvement in a scheme to lure boys into participating in obscene video recordings, subsequently selling the content to a private group. This crackdown stems from a police raid on eight locations across the northeastern province, following a tip-off about the group’s illicit activities.

Police Colonel Sarawut Chantawong, leading the 3rd Region of the Anti-Human Trafficking Division, detailed the investigation findings. The group reportedly targeted boys at local concerts, enticing them into indecent acts which were secretly recorded. These videos were then sold within private groups on social media platforms.

Disturbingly, the investigation uncovered clips showing victims being gang-raped. This revelation prompted decisive action from law enforcement, resulting in the arrest of the seven suspects.

The operation also led to the confiscation of eight mobile phones believed to be instrumental in the distribution of these illicit videos., said Police Colonel Sarawut

“All of the suspects initially confessed.”

They now face charges of conspiring to traffic in people by creating and distributing obscene media involving minors, reported Bangkok Post.
