A mother faced a terrifying moment when her drug-addict son threatened her with a gun after she refused to give him money. Yesterday, March 5, police intervened and arrested the son in Udon Thani province, bringing the situation under control.

The incident took place in Ban Huai Nong Yang, Mueang district, Udon Thani, on March 4. Police Colonel Ratapolchai Pensongkram, head of Chaiwan Police Station, received a report that a son was threatening to harm his mother. The police were requested to handle the situation.

Following the report, a district officer, Bantoon Narisarangkul, and Pol. Col. Ratapolchai, along with a team of patrol and investigative officers, arrived at the scene. They succeeded in apprehending the suspect, identified as Samrong, who allegedly used a gun to intimidate his mother. The police took him into custody for further legal proceedings.

Upon inquiry, the mother revealed that the incident stemmed from her son’s anger after she refused his request for money. In his rage, he pointed a gun at her chest and asked, “Do you want to die?” Displaying remarkable courage, the mother retorted, “If you dare to shoot, I am ready to die,” before walking away, reported KhaoSod.

Shortly after, the police arrived to defuse the situation, saving the mother from potential harm caused by her drug-addict son.
