US ambassador Godec to address town hall meeting in Phuket

The US Ambassador to Thailand is set to visit Phuket next week for a town hall meeting. The event will address issues concerning consular services and other matters impacting US citizens residing on the island.

The town hall with US Ambassador Robert F. Godec gathering is scheduled to take place at The Westin Siray Bay Resort and Spa on Thursday, April 4. The Siray Bay Ballroom, located on the ground floor of the resort, will host the event from 2pm to 3pm.

As stated in an official release, the discussion will cover Mission Thailand priorities and frequently asked questions regarding consular services. Consul General Kathryn Flachsbart will also be present at the event to give remarks and answer attendees’ queries.

The event requires prior registration for attendees. Those interested can sign up for registration here.

Before the commencement of the topic-discussion event, US Embassy staff from the American Citizens Services Unit will deliver consular services at the Retreat I-II Room on the second floor of the resort, from 10am to 1pm.

The services offered will be limited to those who wish to avail of these services should register here. Appointments will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to individuals with limited mobility, as per the release.
