Phuket man demands justice after brutal attack on mother and girlfriend
A shocking incident of violence in Phuket has prompted a man to turn to social media to demand justice following a brutal attack on his mother and girlfriend in Srisoonthorn. This assault, captured on CCTV around 3am on December 26, has been brought to the public eye by a family member seeking accountability for the perpetrators.
The incident unfolded as a 27 year old man, referred to as A, recounted how his mother and girlfriend, identified only as 29 year old Bow, were returning home from a local restaurant. Outside their residence, a group of five men was reportedly drinking beer and began hurling insults. When A’s mother confronted the group, they responded with violence.
The attackers targeted A’s mother, delivering blows to her head and forcefully slamming her to the ground until she lost consciousness.
The aggression escalated when Bow attempted to intervene, pleading with the assailants to stop. One of the men, identified by his blue shirt, struck her in the face multiple times. After she fell to the ground, he viciously kicked her in the face, leaving her with severe injuries.
Upon hearing the disturbance, neighbours rushed to assist the victims and transported them to Thalang Hospital. A’s mother suffered a head injury, and although she is conscious, she remains deeply shaken. Bow endured multiple bruises on her face, knees, and head.
A police report was filed at Thalang Police Station, but the family alleges they have not received any updates regarding the investigation or potential arrests, reported The Phuket News.
Outrage over the delayed response has led A to call for justice through media channels. “This kind of violence, especially against women, cannot be tolerated,” he expressed.
