The blaze occurred in a row of two-storey houses featuring concrete ground floors and wooden upper floors. The flames spread rapidly, accompanied by explosions from within the fire. Firefighters worked for over an hour to bring the fire under control. Five houses in total were lost, and a Mercedes-Benz parked in front of one was damaged.

Thanawat, a 26 year old auto mechanic, suggested that the fire likely started due to an electrical short circuit in the rightmost house, recently vacated by tenants. He noticed smoke before the flames erupted and quickly spread, which led him to contact the police.

Yongyuth, a 55 year old homeowner, sustained burns on his back while attempting to extinguish the fire. He described hearing an electrical short circuit and seeing sparks near the roof before the fire spread, reported The Pattaya News.

After the fire was contained, police documented the incident and summoned forensic investigators to inspect the site and ascertain the precise cause. Initial findings indicated that the fire might have been triggered by an electrical short circuit. The total damage is yet to be determined.
