Four illegal foreign nationals nabbed in Pattaya swoop

Bang Lamung police officers swooped on Naklua at the weekend, leading to the arrest of four foreign nationals working illegally in the bustling area behind Naklua New Market in Chon Buri province.
The targeted raid on Saturday, February 15 uncovered a startling six-year overstaying spree by two of the apprehended individuals.
The crackdown unfolded in Moo 5, Naklua subdistrict, where police focus was squarely set on rooting out illegal foreign workers.
Amongst those caught were two individuals whose prolonged, unauthorised stay in Thailand stretched over six years, putting them squarely on the radar of immigration authorities.
With the discovery of their illegal status, officers quickly took them into custody. Now facing charges, the detained foreigners are in line for deportation back to their respective homelands.
The police are pressing forward to stem the tide of illegal employment that circumvents the country’s strict immigration laws.

Police in Cha-am on Friday detained over 100 Myanmar migrant workers found crammed into the back of a six-wheeled truck.
The driver confessed to transporting the workers from Damnoen Saduak district to a destination in the south.

A green Hino truck with licence plate number 71-2199, Phetchaburi, covered with a black tarpaulin, was stopped for inspection.
