Pattaya waitress begs for justice after brutal attack

A Pattaya waitress claims she was brutally beaten by coworkers in a shocking street attack, then abandoned by police.

On Thursday, March 27, at 9.30pm, 28 year old Bua (surname withheld) submitted video footage to the media, accusing police of dragging their feet in investigating a violent assault that left her and two colleagues hospitalised.

The incident unfolded on Sunday, March 23, at 7.20pm, outside an entertainment venue in Soi Pattaya 14, as Bua arrived for her shift alongside coworkers 32 year old Kritayanee and 23 year old Thitikarn.

The trio were ambushed by four fellow staff members from the same restaurant, reportedly after an argument the previous night turned sour. Armed with glass bottles and pepper spray, the attackers struck the women on the head and sprayed their faces, causing chaos in front of horrified onlookers, including foreign tourists.

Bua was left with a head wound requiring eight stitches, while the others sustained two to three stitches each.

“Our eyes were burning, we were bleeding—it was terrifying.”

Bystanders eventually intervened, prompting the attackers to flee the scene. The injured women sought treatment immediately and filed a report with Pattaya Police Station that same night.

But according to Bua, police have made no progress.

“It’s been days, and nothing has happened. We’re terrified they might come back to harm us again after work.”

She added that the suspects have since quit their jobs and disappeared, leaving the victims in fear and frustration.

“We want justice. We want them arrested and held accountable under the law.”

The case comes at a time when local police are under pressure to improve public safety, especially in high-profile tourist areas like Pattaya, reported The Pattaya News.

Bua’s plea for justice has sparked concern over how such violent acts can go unpunished despite clear evidence and injured victims stepping forward.

With video proof in hand and witnesses present, the victims now wait for police to act.
