In another day of drama in Pattaya, an attempt to settle a feud between two rival groups spectacularly backfired, ending with bullets flying and a vehicle caught in the crossfire.

Early yesterday morning, February 2, at precisely 9am, saw the police swoop on 24 year old Aniwat, better known by the street name “Nick,” at his Pattaya home. His crime? Letting loose a firearm during the heated standoff, leaving nearby vehicles worse for wear.

But there’s a twist in the tale. Aniwat insists the alleged weapon of destruction was nothing more than a harmless toy gas gun. Yet, as he was carted off to Pattaya Police Station alongside four other suspects, the story maintains its air of suspense.

Sources reveal that the feuding gangs had gathered in a bid to bury the hatchet, but diplomacy failed, giving way to chaos. Aniwat allegedly took matters into his own hands, aiming his ‘weapon’ at his foes. Luckily, his shot went wide, but hit the unintended target, a hapless vehicle that ended up being collateral damage, reported Pattaya News

In the face of Aniwat’s claims, the Pattaya police aren’t taking any chances. They’re rolling out gunpowder residue and DNA tests to get to the bottom of his toy gun tale. As things stand, Aniwat faces immediate charges of assault, with more serious firearm-related charges looming, pending those crucial test results.
