Track and field: Pattaya acts to curb sexual activities at railway site
A local railway sleeper storage area has become a sizzling hotspot for amorous antics, sparking outrage among concerned locals in Pattaya.
Residents are up in arms as the area, near Pattaya Railway Station, gains a racy reputation as a rendezvous for both same-sex and opposite-sex couples.
One concerned resident pointed out that public health is at stake, adding concerns about Pattaya’s family-friendly image.
Police Colonel Navin Sinthurat, the Superintendent of Bang Lamung Police Station, teamed up with railway officials and other agencies, determined to bring an end to the racy saga. On Tuesday, February 25, they rolled up their sleeves and embarked on an eye-opening inspection, reported Pattaya News.
The result? Railway officials have taken matters into their own hands, vowing to fence off the area with barbed wire to keep the randy rendezvousing at bay. Not stopping there, they’ll be putting up signs and dispatching local patrol officers to keep an eagle eye on the site.
With measures in place to reclaim the city’s wholesome image, local government officials hope to side-track the saucy antics of those who can’t keep it in their pants.
Three days ago a couple of foreign exhibitionists refused to do just that. It caused one local Pattaya man to urge the horny couple to use a hotel after catching them having sex on Krating Lai Beach in Pattaya.
Witnesses shared a video of the explicit act with Thai news agencies on February 22 where it quickly went viral on Thai social media. The indecent act took place on the rocks of the beach.
The couple may have thought that the rocks and trees would conceal them but their passionate noises attracted the attention of locals.
One of the witnesses, an 18 year old Thai man named Bew, told PPTV HD that he and four friends were sitting on the beach in the evening to enjoy the atmosphere. They chose to sit among a crowd for safety, as the beach was quiet and dark at the time.
