An infant, estimated to be around six to eight months old, was found dead in a rubbish bin located on Soi Thappraya 5, Pattaya.

This chilling discovery took place on Tuesday morning, December 5. The infant was found carefully wrapped in a black shirt, and a brown and red towel, and placed inside a plastic bag, which bore the ominous stains of blood.

The gruesome find was stumbled upon by Montawat Boonmee, a 52 year old motorbike taxi driver who was merely passing by the scene of the incident. Montawat narrated that a person engaged in collecting used bottles beckoned him to take a look at their find.

The sight that met Montawat’s eyes was a horrifying one – the lifeless body of an infant discarded in a rubbish bin. Without delay, he placed a call to the Pattaya police to report the dreadful incident.

Upon receiving the report, the Pattaya police immediately sprung into action, capturing images of the scene as part of their evidence collection. A comprehensive investigative procedure was subsequently launched, which entailed gathering statements from potential witnesses and examining footage from surveillance cameras in the vicinity.

The law enforcement agency is currently in pursuit of the parents suspected of being involved in this inhumane act. Legal proceedings will be initiated against them once apprehended, reported Pattaya News.

Montawat recalled the chilling discovery in his own words:

“A person collecting used bottles asked me to come see what they found, and when I came to see what it was, I was horrified to find the lifeless infant in the trash bin.”
