A late-night brawl erupted near Pattaya Beach last night, February 19, leaving four people injured after a confrontation between two Thai women and two Indian men turned violent. A Thai man who tried to intervene was also hurt in the chaotic street fight.

The incident began when the two women, who asked to remain anonymous, were relaxing on the beach when they were approached by the Indian men.

According to the women, the men attempted to flirt with them, and one of the men started filming them on his mobile phone. Feeling uncomfortable and fearing that the footage could be misused, one woman demanded he delete the video.

The man refused, sparking a heated argument that quickly escalated into a physical altercation. One of the women grabbed a stick and attempted to hit the men, who then fled towards Pattaya Walking Street.

In their haste, they allegedly scratched a motorist’s car and broke its left side-view mirror.

The situation spiralled out of control as punches were thrown, leaving all four involved parties with minor injuries. A Thai motorcycle taxi rider who tried to mediate was also injured, suffering blows to his knees and right eye from one of the Indian men.
