Young man confesses to fatal stabbing of teen in Samut Prakan
A 21 year old man admitted to fatally stabbing a 16 year old boy in a heated confrontation over a perceived slight. The incident occurred last night, December 17, in a car park in Samut Prakan, resulting in the younger man’s death.
Police in Samut Prakan were alerted to a violent altercation involving a knife at a shopping centre’s car park yesterday evening. The injured teenager, who remains unnamed, was rushed to Paolo Samut Prakan Hospital with two stab wounds to the abdomen. The suspect, Nachanon, was apprehended at the hospital shortly after the incident.
Nachanon confessed to the police that he had stabbed the younger boy during a meeting intended to resolve tensions between them. The situation escalated into a physical confrontation, culminating in Nachanon using a knife he had brought to the scene.
He admitted to stabbing the teenager twice in the stomach before transporting the wounded teenager to the hospital himself.
Medical staff at the hospital later confirmed that the teenage boy succumbed to his injuries. A significant amount of blood was found at the scene, marking the severity of the attack.
The teenager’s friend recounted that the conflict arose because the suspect’s group took offence at the victim’s facial expression and body language, prompting the meeting to address the issue.
The 17 year old friend of the deceased explained that their group consisted of four individuals, while the suspect’s party arrived in a Toyota Alphard and on two motorcycles, totalling five people.
Upon arrival, the suspect’s group immediately initiated violence, with the victim being restrained and punched. After breaking free, the teenager was stabbed by Nachanon.
An eyewitness reported observing two groups of youths arguing, initially dismissing it as a minor dispute. However, the situation quickly escalated to physical violence. The witness saw a large man wield a knife against the victim, prompting them to intervene and call for emergency services. Despite their efforts, the suspect’s group transported the boy to the hospital.
The altercation’s root cause was reportedly a perceived challenge, as the groups had argued over the deceased’s gaze and posture. The witness noted that the suspect resorted to using a knife after being unable to overpower the boy in the fight.
Police charged Nachanon with murder and carrying a weapon in public. He has been remanded in custody, awaiting further investigation and legal proceedings, reported KhaoSod.
