Thieves steal Honda Wave 125i motorcycles in Saraburi heist

Three young thieves stole two Honda Wave 125i motorcycles from a dormitory in Nong Khae district, Saraburi province.
The theft occurred within three minutes, leaving the owner with only the registration documents. One of the motorcycles was newly purchased just a month ago.
Yesterday, March 26, Boonsanong Kamphumi, the 37 year old owner of a white-red Honda Wave 125i, licence plate 1กภ 3233, Saraburi, reported the theft. The motorcycles, parked at a dormitory in Mo 4, Khok Yae subdistrict, were taken by three male suspects captured on CCTV.
The footage showed the suspects, appearing to be in their youth, wearing long-sleeved shirts and long trousers, with one wearing a helmet, another a red cap, and the third a hoodie. Their faces were obscured by masks during the incident around 3.34am yesterday, March 26.
The thieves specifically targeted the Honda Wave 125i of Boonsanong, ignoring other motorcycles. They inserted a tool into the ignition to start the motorcycle.
Noticing another Honda Wave 125i, owned by Phon, parked nearby, they repeated the process and drove away with both motorcycles.

Additionally, the suspects took a full-face helmet from a Honda PCX160 motorcycle, leaving behind a red cap assumed to belong to one of the thieves. The entire operation lasted about three minutes.
Boonsanong expressed a warning to other motorcycle owners to secure their vehicles with protective devices, admitting his motorcycle was not locked. He now holds onto his keys and registration papers, while the second owner, who had only made one installment, is left with a similar burden.
Boonsanong has filed a report with Nong Khae Police Station, hoping to retrieve the motorcycles and see the suspects apprehended. He speculates that Honda Wave motorcycles are specifically targeted due to high market demand, reported KhaoSod.
Han Nokphuang, the 62 year old dormitory owner, acknowledged the effectiveness of the thieves, noting the dormitory’s security system with more than 30 cameras. He intends to pursue legal action if the suspects are caught, stating that such incidents have not occurred at his dormitory before, despite the area being predominantly residential.
