Thailand has taken the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival by storm, dazzling visitors with a spectacular cultural display and an enchanting photo exhibition.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has pulled out all the stops at this year’s Nihao! China: China Ice and Snow Tourism Overseas Promotion Season 2025, making waves with its Thai Charm showcase.

The festival, which kicked off on January 5 and runs until January 8, is a tribute to the warm friendship between Thailand and China. TAT governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool gave a speech at the grand opening.

“The photo exhibition and cultural performances illustrate Thailand’s charm and serve as a bridge to inspire Chinese travellers, who are integral to our goal of welcoming 39 million international tourists in 2025.”

At the centre of the showcase is the Thai Charm Photo Exhibition, a visual feast capturing Thailand’s stunning cultural heritage, traditions, and vibrant travel experiences.

Visitors are treated to the 5 Must Do in Thailand concept, highlighting tantalising cuisine, hidden gems, unforgettable activities, and world-class hospitality.

But it doesn’t stop there! Live performances brought Thailand’s diverse cultural tapestry to life. From the mesmerising southern Thai dance to the lively central festive processions and Isaan tribal music fused with umbrella dances, the showcase was a whirlwind of elegance, energy, and tradition, reported Travel Daily Media.

The festival draws 40,000 visitors daily, making it a prime platform for TAT to inspire high-spending Chinese tourists to visit Thailand. Looking ahead, TAT has also teased a grand Chinese New Year celebration in Bangkok’s Chinatown as part of the Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025.
