Thai Airways launches game-changing mobile app upgrade
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited unleashed a revamped version of its mobile application, promising a range of features across various platforms. With this latest iteration, passengers are in for a treat as they gain unprecedented control over their travel arrangements.
Designed with Royal Orchid Plus (ROP) members in mind, the new application boasts a suite of functions to cater to their every need. From checking profile information to keeping tabs on existing and expiring miles, travellers can now manage their ROP accounts on the go.
Under the intuitive My Trip menu, passengers can seamlessly book seats, handle check-ins, set up departure notifications, and even sync their boarding passes to Apple Wallet or Android Wallet for added convenience.
Promotions abound within the application, offering users access to additional services such as accommodation, rental cars, and travel insurance, all at their fingertips, reported Travel Daily Media.
The revamped Thai Airways app is available for immediate download on both the App Store and Play Store. And here’s the clincher: for a limited time only, travellers who download and register as ROP members between May 30 and June 2 will receive a generous reward of 500 miles.
In related news, Thai Airways faced public criticism when a passenger expressed frustration on social media after experiencing subpar service on a business-class flight. Despite purchasing expensive tickets for himself and his clients to Beijing, he encountered malfunctioning seats that would neither recline nor convert into beds.
The airline’s attempt to compensate with a modest sum of 5,500 baht was refused by Treerat Sirichantaropas, who is now considering legal action against the airline’s executives.
In other news, amidst a pandemic–induced slump, Thai Airways decided to bid farewell to its Airbus A380 fleet, spelling the end of an era in the skies. According to a report by Aerotime Hub, the Thai flag carrier is offering its superjumbos to the highest bidder until September 12, marking a conclusion to their service.
